About Therapy

Comprehensive Exam

This appointment can be done virtually and will take 1 hour 40 minutes. During the comprehensive exam appointment, photos will be reviewed, questions will be asked to help build a full picture of the patients’ needs and we will begin therapy. At the end of the appointment, an appropriate therapy plan will be discussed in detail.

Therapy Sessions

Therapy sessions can be done virtually and will last 45 minutes. During these sessions we will address progress, reassess symptoms and review a new series of exercises.

Goals of Therapy:

  1. Promote Nasal Breathing

  2. Create a Sufficient Lip Seal

  3. Correct Tongue Posture & Resting Position

  4. Attain a Normal Swallow Pattern

*Through achieving these goals we will be working towards alleviating pain, sleeping better and breathing easier
